2/15/2005, Insurance Reserve System
Curtis Parker, Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS), Vice President and Chief Actuary of Grange Life Insurance Company, will speak on the insurance reserve system. He will explain why insurance reserve is needed and how it works in practice. The talk takes place from 9:50 - 10:50am in room 201 of the Science Building.

11/11/2004, What Makes a Successful Actuary?
Richard Evans, Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and Senior Actuary at Nationwide Insurance will be speaking on "What makes a successful Actuary?"He will relate what a company looks for in a potential candidate from a recruiting perspective. Students have a chance to ask questions about the profession following his presentation. The talk will take place from 6:30 - 7:30pm in room 241 of Towers Hall.
